What is an optical bench / optical table?
If a show laser system features an optical bench, then the system is equipped with a base plate (optical table) on which different units are mounted to deflect laser beams. This can be for example single scanning or double scanning systems (that means one scanner output or two scanner outputs at the same time), step motors, spectral effects, actuators, dichroic color filters, mirror mountings or respectively mirrors. When using an optical bench (optical table) there are fascinating and gorgeous laser beams synchronously with scanner outputs possible. The result are gigantic, space-filling laser shows with individual charm. Nowadays clients prefer to use several laser projectors to create the nearly same effects.
