Nd YAG [Nd YAG laser, Yag laser]
Neodymium-doped yttrium-aluminum garnet laser. A Nd:YAG laser is a solid-state laser with neodymium-doped YAG crystal as active medium. Nd:YAG laser are optically pumped using a flash tube or laser diodes. Nd YAG laser are one of the most common types of laser and are used for many different applications such as medicine laser, engraving laser, etching laser, marking laser for a variety of metals and plastics. Nd YAG laser are used for fluid dynamics, as dentistry laser, for military and defence or in the automotive industry. We used them, of course, for laser shows.
